SOUL BREAKER GUIDE : All you need to know about SBK SinX

- Added few in-depth information regarding soul breaker.

Update Version ;
This guide is an updated version of my old one [yah got so many mistake in there, since many have changes in mRO, and the old formula and description is no longer used]..this guide will only talks about Soul Breaker sinX, and it has nothing to do with Critical sinX build. If you wish to ask anything regarding Soul Breaker sinX, then this is the place for you.

Note that some of the examples i put in this guides will only shows rough description on how some things work.The real situation however maybe a bit complicated,but it works like that.So please don't say that i gives undetailed or unaccurate examples,as my reasons is only to give you the description on how things works in basics,not in whole complete thing.If you wish to ask for more in depth information regarding things that i only described roughly,then feel free to ask.

And also some of the opinion i put in here is only based on my opinion,not a fact at all.Some of you might cursed me for giving such opinions,although i can stand it,but really,opinion will remains opinion,and still there's room for us to discuss more,not straight-forwardly judging it as wrong,and telling that your ideas is true.That is why this forum was made,for us to discuss more.

And finally this opinion was made by me,and my experience as an ex SBK sinX..some may have different experience than me..there's no such thing as mine or yours the best...as long as what you feel is the best for you,then do it.

INTRODUCTION :

Basically i don't think i need to explain a lot about Assassin Cross or in its short form [SinX]..since most of you guys out there are a SinX..and that includes me too.

Building a SinX is very very simple especially those who are AGI based..yes,AGI based.But some will prefer to be a VIT type especially the sinX that i will introduce here,which is more focusing on VIT build rather than AGI..trust me,VIT build is much more useful in PvP than AGI based,especially those who always play the War Of Emperium.With more than 15,000 hp if you got the equipment correctly,this build can be the 2nd best (or maybe even the best ) tanker and even can be one of the faster killer in either PvM,PvP or even WoE.This is based on my experience as a VIT type sinX.

But to be honest...most people will say "WTF???? VIT TYPE?? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND??" if someone asking about the VIT build.Here is what i'm gonna tell you..VIT type SinX is very possible,BUT NOT AS A KATAR OR THOSE WHO WISH TO MAKE A MELEE ATTACKER..the only thing about VIT build which is possible to make is the SOUL BREAKER SINX.

VIT type soul breaker sinx is more like a VIT Lord Knight that emphasize on using skills during leveling than using normal attack.Just like Lord Knight that will always be using Spiral Pierce or Pierce skill almost 100% of the time,Soul Breaker sinX also will be using the Soul Breaker skill almost 100% of the time.The only bad thing about building a pure Soul Breaker sinX is that it gives no INT bonus for each Jlvl up, and it hurts your sp too..and that is a total curse for SinX like me who really hopes for jlvl bonus and lots of sp like Priests and Wizards.

Most likely those who use SinX rather build a Hybrid Type sinX that enables them to use Soul Breaker with damage around 5000-7000 and at that same times also enabling them to use normal attack with either Katar or Dual Dagger,which also at the same time gives them the ability to use Enchant Deadly Poison.But in my personal opinion,Hybrid type is only for those who wants to take all the skills and make others say "wahhhhh" when showing them all the skills you have,and also for those who cannot forget their glory as an AGI katar assassin before.

If you ask me,when making a character,make it an EXTREME TYPE..yes,extreme type is much much much more powerful than a hybrid type in terms of attack power in combat and when challenging other players in RO.When i say about extreme, then i mean we only set our build into one goal.As for assassins,the goal may be as the following below.



Assassins

Pure Katar Critical -
Have the highest LUK among all other build of assassins,and the reason behind the high LUK is to get high CRITICAL rate [as high as 80%-90% without Gloria] and high total dodge rate.This build have more size / attribute modifier in their katar type weapon to combine with their high LUK, to give them high damage output,which is comparable to an assassin cross with Advanced Katar Mastery skill.Usually this build uses Kobold card to increase the overall critical rate.

Pure Katar poison -
Kinda rare build in RO. The reason to make this build is to get high damage output by using poison elemental as well as getting high rate of poisoning enemies.Some may combine Soldier Skeleton Card with this technique to give nice damage output.Poison is assassin's best friend if we're not a critical build,as poison can lower the enemy's DEF,beside giving them poison status.This build trains more in place with earth attribute monsters and Brute class monsters.

Pure Dual Dagger poison -
Much favourable build than katar poison,as this build really kicks especially when 2 dagger class weapon are in hand.Since this build have nothing to worry about investing LUK,they can have very high STR and pumps the damage even higher by using modifier cards.With the right cards and equipment,you can expect damage that much higher than critical damage.


Assassin Cross

Pure Katar Critical -
Same like pure katar Critical assassins,but this one adds more damage with the additional skill Advanced Katar Mastery.Usually this type of build is the best to be the Emperium breaker during guild wars.Combined with Enchant Deadly Poison skill,this build can survive almostly in any situation.Since Deadly Bottle now is cheap,so most assassin cross will forget the EDP maker build,and pumps high STR and LUK.

Pure Katar Critical EDP maker -
Unlike pure critical katar that have high STR and LUK,this build will abandoned the investment in STR to pump DEX,in order to fully use the high LUK and DEX for the Create Deadly Poison skill.Same like the Pure Critical,this one also the best to be the Emperium Breaker.Most likely this kind of build is also known as the money maker,since DP can sell at a good amount of price in market.

Pure Katar Poison -
This kind of build is really really rare when it comes to assassin cross.But mind you that Enchant Deadly Poison skill + Enchant Poison = total killer for this kind of build.Much better when combined with critical equipments.The only extreme about this build is it maxing all the poison tree skills,with stats that gives more to STR,DEX and AGI and fully use of the poison skill,giving them the highest rate of poisoning enemies during battle.Even without weapon like Poison Knife and poison type card like Zenorc,poison assassin still can be deadly with their high poisoning rate.This build however are not recommended to train with undead,mind,poison,holy and darkness property as this build is very weak against those attributes.

Pure Dual Dagger poison -
The most deadly poison type of assassin cross.In terms of combat ability,this build surpasses the pure katar poison build,as pure katar poison lack of critical rate which gives them low damage.While all dual dagger build have double attack advantages that surpasses katar's attack ability,and when combined with poison,these build can attack even more.When it comes to poison assassin cross,then Dual Dagger is the most suitable build.

Pure Dual Dagger Soul Breaker -
This is what this guide is all about. SOUL BREAKER!!!The most coveted skill of an assassin cross.Sacrificing AGI and investing in VIT to increase overall HP,and invest in INT to the highest possible to give output damage equal to Sonic Blow + Enchant Deadly Poison.Soul Breaker also is without doubt the most damaging skill in WoE or PvP,as its ability to kill a target in 1 hit only [this applies only to pure Soul Breaker assassin cross] and in PvM,you can expect more than just having 1 hit killer attack.Soul Breaker is a must for all that wish to be a dual dagger but don't know which path should they go.Its not hard to be a pure Soul Breaker assassin cross,although we gonna have hard levelling time during the early part.



THE PATH OF AN ASSASSIN / ASSASSIN CROSS :

Most Katar and Dual Dagger are AGI build,since both weapon have high ASPD compare to other class of weapons.Deals high damage in a really fast rate,thats why all assassins are more to AGI build during the assassin stage.When it comes to Assassin Cross,we can choose our way to be a Katar or Dual Dagger or Dual Mastery [both Katar and Dagger], but i won't stress much about Dual Mastery build,as it is more to Hybrid type,which i don't want to discuss about.

Compare to Assassin class which are AGI based,SinX class have more variety in choosing their path.Below are just some of the examples

-AGI katar critical

-AGI D.Dagger poison
-AGI D.Dagger Soul Breaker
-VIT D.Dagger Soul Breaker
-AGI D.Mastery critical
-AGI D.Mastery poison

Before building a sinX,try to stress and think the following question "Am i gonna make a fully melee attacker or skill user?".This will help us in choosing our path correctly.

I'm gonna stress more on VIT D.Dagger Soul Breaker and VIT D.Mastery Soul Breaker,which i found much more interesting than the AGI builds.With good equipments as our best friend,VIT type builds can really be the strongest,maybe even more than Lord Knight.



WHY VIT BUILDS? :

Most SinX can't forget their glory as an AGI based during their assassin time before.Beside most people will say forever Assassin are made for AGI and AGI are assassin's best partner.I do agree with that but that depends on what we're gonna build.

For melee attacker sinX which emphasize more on normal attack during levelling,then AGI builds are the most suitable build for them.Since using normal attack needs a bit time before can kill an enemy,so we must have a good dodge rate and high ASPD to aid us.Dodge rate to reduce the hit taken from an enemy and high ASPD for faster killing time.

What about skill users?Skill user are those who emphasize more on using skill when attacking a monster.For sinX to be a fully skill user,although its not impossible,but we need to understand the effect of it.Most skill of sin / sinX uses high sp amount.Lets say sinX have a total sp of 800 at level 95.During level up,this sinX need to use 30 sp to use lvl 10 soul breaker on a 12k hp monster,and 1 hit soul breaker gives 7k damage.So in order to kill this monster,the sinX will need to use soul breaker 2 times,which means the usage of 60 sp in total.With the total amount of MSP 800,this sinX can kill at least 13 of the same 12k monster in one row before have to take a rest to regenerate its sp.From here,we can see that if sinX path are to be a fully skill users,then the sinX need to rest many times to regenerate its sp.

The only way for a sinX to cover this problem is by having high INT,which gives them high MSP,and thus enables them to use skills as frequent as possible.But think of this,if sinX have to invest their stat point into INT,they gonna have to sacrifice other stats so that they can up their INT to a desirable amount.In the end sinX gonna have what they called as 'Jack Of All Trades',have a so-so amount of stat point on each part.

Most sinX want to have as far as possible the ability and benefits below in one build

- High dodge rate
- High attack
- High SP amount
- High critical
- High HP amount
- High hit rate

Its almostly impossible to distribute all the stat points that will gives us those benefits stated.SinX can never be as effective as they can be with the 'Jack Of All Trades' stats.Even gaining stat distribution that gives us the benefits above,note that when comparing it to others,we will realize that we are not as best as the others.We may have high sp and hp but the others have low sp and hp but really high crit rate and high damage.

Back to the fully skill users,the only skill that really good for a sinX to become a fully skill users are SOUL BREAKER.As other skills need STR to boost its damage to the maximum,Soul Breaker in the other hand needs INT to boost its damage.Boosting INT not only gives sinX high MSP and regenerate ability,but also boost the damage of Soul Breaker,which means a great benefit for a fully skill user sinX.But in order to gives Soul Breaker a high damage,INT isn't the main factor only.We also need to boost STR as high as possible.With high STR and high INT,we will gonna have little more stat point to be distribute.If we pump AGI,although it increases the dodge rate,but we're not gonna fully use the benefits of ASPD boost by investing AGI,since we are more into fully skill users than fully melee attacker.So we can forget in AGI investment,and VIT,DEX and LUK is the only stat that we have where we can invest our stat points to.

LUK is without doubt useless for fully skill users,so we can skip LUK.For VIT and DEX we can choose either to have good hit rate and cast time by investing into DEX or good HP by investing the points into VIT.But for my recommendation,we invest more into VIT as we don't have that high dodge rate to assist us,so HP will only be our best friend.High HP let us survive longer in battle,beside it also aid us in fast regenerating our HP,and at the same time increase overall resistance against status ailment.

Below are the advantages as a VIT Soul Breaker SinX.
- High VIT means more HP,high surviving rate,high tolerance against status ailments.
- High INT means more SBK damage,high MSP which increase the skill
- High STR means more SBK damage and increase weight limit.
- DEX help in reducing SBK casting time and also increases SBK hit rate.

Some may ask "why must go for VIT soul breaker,what sooo good bout this build?".As i say before the build is always your choice to choose.If you want to be a melee attacker and at the same time use SBK,then go for AGI.My reason for building VIT type is to give SBK sinX the title of "most feared" character in RO.Since we're going for extreme Soul Breaker,then we're more on to 1 hit killer SBK.We don't want to waste our sp just for killing a monster by using SBK a few times.As an extreme type WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO KILL AN ENEMY IN 1 SINGLE SBK.Thats where these VIT build comes,since we don't have to worry about being hit by the enemy,as we gonna kill the enemy in 1 SBK before they can even touch us.

But not all monster can be kill in just 1 shot.This include all the boss class monster or high level monster that have high HP.But it doesn't mean all high HP monster gives good EXP as some low HP monster like Raydrics have low HP [less than 10k] but gives high EXP.So as long as we know what monster that we can kill in 1 shot,then leveling up is easier for us.

ABOUT SOUL BREAKER :

Soul Breaker is a newly kind of skill among all the assassin skills that we know,as Soul Breaker[SBK] needs INT to boost its damage. Low INT although doesn't mean low damage but since we're more to extreme 1 hit killer,low INT means impossible to reach the 1 hit killer goal.Few things that we need to know about SBK;

- Its a range type attack..not as far as the sniper's range but enough to kill the enemy before it reach us.[As much as i can see,the max range for SBK is 9 cells..not confirmed yet the distance for SBK].Note that we need to be at the allowable distance for SBK to be cast,and once targetted,as long as the enemy is within the screen,then SBK will always hit.

- Its a single target type skill,means that all the Detect Spell type of monster [such as Sohee] won't be our best friend.

- It's interruptable.Any enemy that interrupt you during casting time will make SBK is cancelled automatically.Thus you need to find enemy that can be killed in 1 hit or you reduce the casting time by investing your stat points in DEX.This the main reason why SBK cannot handle a crowd of mobs.

- Can goes elemental if you equip yourself with an elemental weapon.Even equipping 1 normal dagger and 1 elemental dagger will make this skill goes elemental according to the element of the dagger.But to make it elemental,equip the elemental weapon on the Right hand part.

- Un'flee'able..this is because of the property of INT attack that is undodgeable.INT attack is more like a magic attack.But in real INT attack is not magic type.Its a special type attack with properties of MATK.Since MATK is undodgeable once targetted,so do the INT attack.However since the ATK part of the SBK is based on the ATK from weapon and STR,so the ATK part can be dodge.Note that for monster with high dodge rate [like Mimic],the INT attack will hit it with 100% accuracy,but the ATK part won't 100% hit on it.

- Consumes 20sp if using lvl 1-lvl 5 skill and consumes 30sp if using skill lvl 6-lvl 10.Using Pharaoh card however will reduces the sp consumption into 6sp [lvl 1-lvl 5] and 9sp [lvl 6-lvl 10].

- Casting time goes lower with the investment of DEX.Each time you use it,there will be an after cast delay which will prevents you from using any skill [including heal] and investing your stats point in DEX won't reduce the after cast delay effect.[see the description below]

- Affects directly to the opponent's physical defense and VIT.Some factors also have effect on SBK damage.I will explain it more in the later section..

- Enchant Deadly Poison skill won't raise the damage,but Enchant poison skill do have effect on this skill-changing the SBK element into poison element.I will explain later why EDP won't work on SBK.

- Since SBK is a range attack,meaning that Pneuma skill can nullify it [confirmed].Although SBK includes physical and INT attack,but the property of range attack gives Pneuma the advantage against SBK.Pneuma can nullify all physical type of range attack while it doesn't have any effect on all Magic type attack.SBK ISN'T A MAGICAL TYPE ATTACK although there are part in the damage where INT is involved,but that doesnt mean it is magical.The INT damage part have the property of magical attack which is the INT damage part is undodgeable and ranged,but still it is not a magical attack [see more explanation on the later part].This explain why INT part of the damage doesn't affect directly to the enemy's MDEF.

- All barrier skills such as Kyrie Eleison,Safety Wall and Assumptio can reduce the damage of SBK.Some of you may not understand in what way Kyrie Eleison can reduces the damage.Let me explain,a Priest with 5000 hp have a level 10 Kyrie Eleison.Level 10 Kyrie Eleison can block 10 attacks,or blocking by maximum 30% MHP of damage [or total damage of 1500 before Kyrie breaks].If a Soul Breaker with 8000 damage [3000 physical dmg and 5000 INT dmg] hit this priest with level 10 Kyrie Eleison enchanted,although it is only 1 hit,but the Kyrie Eleison effect will break as it only have a durability of 1500.So the Priest will receive total damage of [3000-1500]+5000=6500 damage.

- Only cards that gives bonus STR/INT/ATK/DEX/LUK will increase the SBK damage.Cards that add damage by % won't increase the damage.Modifier cards in other words are totally useless for SBK sinX.That also applies to special weapon with damage modifiers.+7 Infiltrator will do almost same damage to any class [except the Ghost type class] no matter if its demi human or not.[see example below]
*note that investing in LUK and DEX do raise your min and max ATK a bit.But not as good as investing in STR.

- All skills that gives additional ATK by means of % will be counted in,but cards that gives additional ATK by means of % wont work [need to confirm this one as the only card with additional % ATK will be Turtle General Card]

- SBK cannot put status ailments on enemy even when equipped with status cards like Marina ( Freeze effect ). Even when poison is enchanted,poison status cannot be put on enemies [even if you have high poisoning rate].But really even if status can be put,there's no chance we gonna see it as we gonna kill the enemies in 1 SBK,gives the status no chances to affect the monsters.

- And finally,if you plan on using Katar for your SBK,then take the katar Mastery as it add +30 atk to your total attack.Also add your Advanced Katar Mastery as it further add the damage.But i need to mind you,the increment in damage is too small to be noticed.But AKM do increase the damage.[see below]

- Size [by the time i made this guide] don't have any effect on SBK's damage.I made this conclusion by comparing most of the SBK damage using various kinds of weapon,in which it gives almostly same results..only with few differences on the damage in which i believe because of the DEF.Anyway note that in the future patch,this size reduction will be included into calculations [some claims that this size reduction had been implemented since ep10 Einbroch..however i still cant give any comments about it,if anyone can help me i will be glad]

Here are some example damage between not having / having lvl 5 AKM and between classes.

Bloody murderer [demi human/large/37 DEF]
no AKM - 8699~10536
lvl 5 AKM - 8709~10546

Amon Ra [demi human/MVP/large/26 DEF]
no AKM - 8644~10482
lvl 5 AKM - 8654~10492

Alice [demi human/medium/5 DEF]
no AKM - 8780~10921
lvl 5 AKM - 8800~10931

Baphomet [demon/MVP/large/35 DEF]
no AKM - 8658~10496
lvl 5 AKM - 8668~10506

Baby leopard [brute/small/0 DEF]

Notice that +7 infiltrator inflict almostly same damage no matter demon or demi human [Infiltrator inflicts 50% more damage on demi human],while ghost attribute reduces the damage greatly.Also note the differences between not having Advanced Katar Research and having Advanced Katar Mastery.

- Right / Left hand mastery don't have anything to do with our SBK skill.So i recommend you to skip it.[Unless you want to get Meteor Assault,then just get 3 points for Right Mastery]

- Because of the transfer effect,only the ATK on the right hand will be counted into calculations.Left hand only serves as a modifier to the right hand.So having a non refinement weapon on the left hand is ok,since ATK and refinement from left hand don't go into the calculation.

- All card that are used in both left and right hand will give effect to SBK damage.Only card that add ATK will give effect to SBK damage,while modifier/status cards will not give any effect to SBK damage.As a suggestion,use the strongest weapon on the right hand,while on the left hand use 4 slot weapon with +ATK card compounded on it,or using weapon with the best bonus [like House Auger].



FORMULA OF SOUL BREAKER :

Here comes the best part.In my 1st FAQ [which is an old version of this newly updated version] i put the formula of Soul Breaker according to the original formula released by Gravity before.This formula was used in many Ragnarok Online guide / FAQ [including mine] and still they're using the same old formula.The formula goes as follows.

Damage Calculations:
1) Damage 1 = (Physical Total Damage + Specific Cards (It counts ATK cards such as Andre Card)) * 5
2) Damage 2 = {(Skill LV * Player's INT) * 5} + Random Damage (500 ~ 1000)
3) Soul Breaker Base Damage = Damage 1 + Damage 2
4) For DEF/MDEF Decrease Calc (Damage 3) = Soul Breaker Base Damage / 2
5) Final Damage = Damage 3 / Enemy DEF + Damage 3 / Enemy MDEF

This is the first released formula of Soul Breaker.The formula here describes the final damage for SBK is determined by 2 important factors which is DEF and MDEF.In other words,according to this formula,to get full protection from Soul Breaker ONE MUST UP DEF AND MDEF AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE.High DEF and MDEF means low damage and if our DEF and MDEF is equal to the DEF and MDEF of Horong,then we're in the safe zone.But somehow this formula lack of explanation for certain cases in which supposely gives SBK a low damage but in the end,SBK gives higher damage than what was calculated.Those certain cases includes

- Monk with Physical Immune [or Mental Strength] where DEF and MDEF is set to 90 for a period of time [90 DEF and MDEF is very very high,enough to lower the damage of Soul Breaker to 1/10 of its normal damage],will supposely have a damage around 1k [if the normal damage of Soul Breaker is 10k] but somehow Soul Breaker damage is about 5-6 times more than the predicted value.

- This cases also applies to MVP's with high DEF and MDEF,such as Dracula,Dark Lord,Lord Of Death that have both DEF and MDEF.One good cases will be Lord Of Death that can lower a sniper's [elite MVP type sniper with 160 dex in total] Double Strafe to just 1k,and lower Priest's Magnus Exorcismus to around less than 1k.But i did saw one SBK sinX before doing damage 8k to 9k each time with Soul Breaker [predicted damage will be around 2k-3k],which somehow surprise me alot.Me myself as a sinX don't even have the courage to MVP alone especially Lord Of Death which is highly dangerous as i have calculated the damage according to the old formula,which gives me SBK damage around 2.5k to near 4k.

With high DEF and MDEF,supposely SBK damage should be lower,but the cases above shows a different story.So the real problem here is that increasing DEF and MDEF won't help us from Soul Breaker.Why is it like that?

We need to understand few properties of Soul Breaker to make you guys out there understand it well.

- SBK can be divided into 2 main part which is ATK part and INT part.Although both have different calculations but for the final damage,both of the ATK and INT part will be added together.

- ATK part includes total ATK from weapon,STR from us and bonus / buffs from JLVL,LVL,support skills and cards.All these part have a physical type property which can be reduced by factors like elemental,size and DEF.

- INT part is what most people don't understand.INT part is NOT A MAGICAL ATTACK.INT attack is the special part of SBK as it gives SBK a magical type property attack but at the same time doesn't make SBK a magic type attack.INT part is what we call a neutral attack [it will forever stay as neutral even if you equip yourself with 2 different elemental dagger] with the property of magical attack.When i say neutral attack,it is not like normal attack of ATK part that can be reduced by Mind / Ghost attribute,but instead neutral attack of the INT part deals 100% damage towards every elemental [including Ghost attribute] and also deal perfect damage [no size reduction].INT part also ignores DEF and MDEF [which explains the cases above] and have the property of MATK which is undodgeable once targetted.

- Only ATK part of the SBK will be reduced by physical reducing factors while the INT part will still remain the same.The max amount damage of INT part will be determined on the total INT.Higher INT means higher damage on the INT part.At 100 INT,we will gain additional 5000 damage on INT attack part.With all the in-depth explanation of Soul Breaker,we have the newly formula [updated one] as follows.This formula is more accurate than the old formula as it applies the explanation above,as well as giving much accurate range damage of SBK.This formula have been tested by me and Yralyn and all the guys in the ROempire forum,and i must say this is by far the most accurate one.Until new notice from Gravity about Soul Breaker comes out,this formula will still apply to the SBK calculation.

[Physical reducers] - Any modifiers that reduces the damage PHYSICALLY.In other words,all the modifiers that reduces the damage of a normal attack / melee attack are includes in this physical reducers.This modifiers only reduces the physical part,while the INT part still will hit with full damage.

[Reducing Factors / Generic factors] - Any modifiers that reduces the damage by considering the attacker's characteristics.Characteristic means the class / attributes of the attackers [ so far the only characteristic of characters in RO is only by class and attributes.Dunno if they plan to add the characteristic by means of genders ].This modifiers will reduces the damage taken,from normal attack,range attack,or even magical attack,as long as the attacker's characteristic is the same with characteristic in the list of this modifiers.

a sinX launch a soul breaker with total damage of 8000,where the ATK part damage is 3000 and the INT part hit for 5000 damage.The sinX is attacking a swordsman with total HP of 3000

- If a swordsman don't wear anything,and have 0 VIT,then it will receive the SBK hit with total of 8000 damage [full damage]
- If the swordsman wear a set of equipment that gives him 50 DEF but still have 0 VIT,then the swordsman will receive [3000*0.5+5000] = 6500 damage.
- If the swordsman wear the same 50 DEF equipment and have 50 VIT,then the total damage will be [(3000*0.5-50)+5000] = 6450 damage
- If a priest cast lvl 10 Kyrie Eleison on this 50 DEF / 50 VIT swordsman,then the damage will be [(3000*0.5-300-50)+5000] = 6150 damage
- If this 50 DEF / 50 VIT swordsman with Kyrie Eleison lvl 10 enchanted on him wear a Thara Frog shield,then the damage will be [(3000*0.5-300-50)+5000]*0.7 = 4305 damage
- If this 50 DEF / 50 VIT swordsman with Kyrie Eleison lvl 10 enchanted on him wear a Thara Frog shield and a Poo Poo hat,then the total damage will be [(3000*0.5-300-50)+5000]*(0.6) = 3690 damage.

In the example above,DEF,VIT,and Kyrie Eleison are the physical reducers while Thara Frog shield and Poo Poo hat are the generic factors.

Physical reducers includes all this
- Factors that reduces SBK damage physically [DEF,VIT,Kyrie Eleison,Raydric card]
- Factors that reduces SBK damage by means of SBK elemental [all elemental armor that counters SBK's element]
- Factors that reduces SBK damage by means of SBK's property [Autoguard,Defender,Horn card that reduces all ranged attacks,which is what SBK is]


Generic factors includes all this
- Factors that reduces SBK damage based on the attacker's class [Poo Poo Hat,Thara Frog shield]
- Factors that reducers SBK damage based on the attacker's size [Tirfing shield]
- Factors that reduces the damage based on attacker's attributes [never heard of this before,anyone wanna contribute on this?]
- Factors that reduces the damage based on the attacker's gender [OK,this one is not yet implemented,and it will not be implemented forever..no discrimination in RO k! ^^]
- Factors that reduces SBK damage by means of skill [Assumptio..assumptio reduces all kind of damage,even SBK's INT attack,to 1/3 of the normal damage value,Basilica..basilica nullify ALL kind of attacks,including ASURA STRIKE and all magical attack,too bad this one is not allowed in WoE.]



CALCULATING SOUL BREAKER DAMAGE :

To understand how the calculation works,we need to understand few terms

- TOTAL ATK means all the ATK from our STR investment,STR bonus,DEX bonus,LUK bonus,JLVL bonus,buffs from skills [blessing,Gloria..],weapon ATK,weapon total refinement,bonus from cards [only limited to card that add ATK by numbers,not by percentage].

- TOTAL INT means all the total INT we have from INT investment,JLVL bonus,buffs from skills [Blessing..],bonus from cards [only limited to card that add INT]

- DEF means DEF armor.All the monster's DEF is a full type DEF,means that a monster with 50 DEF will reduces 50% damage from any melee/range physical attack.What about refinement DEF?This one only applies to players,since only players can refine their own equipment to gives them better DEF rate.Every +3 refinement is equal to 1 DEF.So the damage from any physical attack will be reduced by [DEF armor+(DEF refinement *2/3)].

- VIT also works like DEF but reduces the damage by numbers.Damage reduction from VIT will be calculated as [total damage received - VIT].VIT only affect directly to any physical attack.



From the picture,we have the stats and equipment fro the SinX

STR - 71+18
INT - 98+22
DEX - 36+19
VIT - 43+2
AGI - 1+26

Left - +5 Double Ancient Haedonggum

Haedonggum = 120 ATK
Every +1 to Haedonggum increases +5 damage,means that
Left - +5 Double Ancient Haedonggum = 145 ATK
Right - +5 Fire elemental Hadonggum = 145 ATK
Total ATK - 329+50 / 379
SBK skill lvl - 10
Remember that using Dual hand will trigger the "Dual hand transfer effect"..in which
- For the physical part,only right hand ATK will be counted into calculations while for the left hand,only special properties from the card will goes into calculation.In this case,the total ATK that we gonna use will be 120+25+71+18 = 234.


While for the monster

Wraith - 200% damage from Fire element attack
- 5 DEF / 30 MDEF / VIT 30
- Damage = 11,200

So with this information,we can start calculate the damage for SBK.Remember that the damage we have must be the same with the damage shown,or at least within the range of min/max SBK damage.

Start by calculating on the ATK part
- Physical ATK
ATK * (1-DEF/100) * Soul Breaker level * elemental modifier * physical reducers - VIT
= 234*(0.95)*10*2 - 30
= 4416

- INT attack
INT * Soul Breaker level * 5 + random (500,1000)
= 120*10*5+500 ~ 120*10*5+1000
= 6500 ~ 7000

- Final damage
( Physical ATK + INT attack ) * reducing / generic factors
= 4416+6500 ~ 4416+7000
= 10916 ~ 11416
[Basically all normal monster got no reducing / generic factors,it only applies during PvP and PvM and this reducers normally comes from our demi human reduction equipment]


Actually the differences between min and max damage of SBK is not 500,as this one just a simple calculation to help you to get a better picture on how an SBK calculation is made.In more in-depth calculations,min and max ATK will be calculated in the physical part,giving the physical part of SBK having both min and max physical damage.When adding into the min and max INT damage part,the differences between min and max damage of SBK is greater than 500..depending on how big the differences between min and max physical part.Its a bit complicated to put into my FAQ,as it will gonna raise more question from you all.As long as you all have the basics of understanding how SBK damage is calculated,that is more better.

[3]~SOME EXPLANATION REGARDING SBK
================================================== ========

WHY EDP WON'T WORK WITH SOUL BREAKER?:

As what we know,EDP increases the ATK damage,means the physical part by multiplying it with an EDP enhancement factor which is at EDP lvl 5,the factor will be 4.Lets calculate the damage using the EDP LVL 5 factor and see how much damage will be inflicted.

For physical part + EDP enchanment [at lvl 5,400% increment]
[ATK * (1-DEF/100) * Soul Breaker level * elemental modifier * physical reducers - VIT]*4
= [234*(0.95)*10*2 - 30]*4
= [4416]*4
= 17644

Final damage
( Physical ATK + INT attack ) * reducing / generic factors
= 17664+6500 ~ 17664+7000
= 24164 ~ 24664

As we can see here,the damage soooo high..if got Lex,the damage can surpasses Asura Strike.So i think i don't need to tell other reason of why EDP cannot be comboed with EDP.Just look the damage and you can understand by yourself.For those of you who still can't understand,EDP only works with the following skills
- Sonic Blow
- Grimtooth
- Double Attack
- Venom Splasher
- Sand Attack
- Envenom
- Normal hit / crit hit
- Meteor Assault [can't confirm,but Meteor Assault basically enhances the damage with each lvl,so EDP should be able to combine with it]

[4]~STAT BUILDS AND EQUIPMENT
================================================== ========

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT :
Below are the set of equipment that i can suggest for you SBK sinX.This equipment is what i think is affordable and gives the best bonus for SBK sinX.


Weapon :

For SBK sinX,weapon is what mostly bother us as we want high damage to dish out enemies in 1 hit.To choose the best weapon for us,we must understand few important things regarding SBK.

- SBK is not magical attack.I know in this forum someone suggest the usage of lvl 4 dagger Bazerald that increase MATK.But as far as it goes,INT attack is totally not MATK,thus Bazerald's MATK increasing effect is useless here.Basically Bazerald is the best for Crusaders and Battle Sages as Crusaders have MATK based attack which is Grand Cross and Battle Sages can deal high damage with Bazerald and at the same time deal high ATK damage.

- SBK can goes elemental.Pick the right elemental weapon and you can smile always seeing your damage fly up to 13k in one SBK hit.Basically when picking elemental weapon,we can buy any lvl 4 elemental weapon or just ask from any Pure Forger Blacksmith to forge for us.We save a lot of money by using elemental forge weapon,and at the same time deals high damage.But if you prefer to buy lvl 4 weapon,then go for it.Not much lvl 4 weapon that gives bonus to SBK anyway.

- Saber vs Haedonggum vs Tsurugi,which one is better?Most people will suggest Haedonggum as it have 3 INT bonus in it,but i think Saber is just fine,perhaps even better than Haedonggum and Tsurugi.See the comparison below

Comparison below are based on the condition of DEF 0,VIT 0,Elemental modifier 1 and all weapon have +8 refinement on it.Stats of the user is set at [STR 87 INT 99 DEX 35]

2 +8 Haedonggum [total of 4 Andre Cards] = 8362 ~ 8967
2 +8 Tsurugi [total of 4 Andre Cards] = 8362 ~ 9017
2 +8 Saber [total of 6 Andre Cards] = 8762 ~ 9342

By far,Andre cards are still the most preferable card to be compound on the SBK user's weapon.Both of those weapon above are lvl 3 weapon,thus refinement from it will gives total +80 ATK [2 weapon],but for overall total ATK,see the comparison below

+8 Haedonggum [total of 2 Andre Cards] = 200 ATK
+8 Tsurugi [total of 2 Andre Cards] = 210 ATK
+8 Saber [total of 3 Andre Cards] = 215 ATK


- House Auger [Ice Pick] now is one of the most popular dagger in RO with its ability to give additional damage by changing the damage formula as follows.Normally for SBK,the damage for physical ATK is calculated as follows (ATK * Soul Breaker level * elemental modifier * physical reducers - VIT).But House Auger changes these formula to give new damage for SBK's physical part which can be calculated as follows ([ATK + {ATK *[DEF+VIT/100]}]* Soul Breaker level * elemental modifier * physical reducers - VIT).Now many don't understand and think that House Auger is the best for SBK.I need to explain here,House Auger is no different than any other weapon.Not all enemy have very high defense and VIT,which is the only reason House Auger can be useful.Damage increment depends on DEF and VIT,making it great for any melee attacker,but i need to mind you,the more DEF and VIT the enemy have,the more deduction of the physical attack we gonna have.For enemy with 50 DEF and 50 VIT,we gonna have 2x total ATK than what we normally have,but we also gonna get our damage reduced to half due to the 50 DEF.So before you planned on buying this thing,think again.House Auger may be good if used in melee attack,but in SBK,other weapon might be better than House Auger.

- Swords vs Dagger,in my opinion,use sword weapon class for medium class enemy and dagger for small class enemy.But if you're damage high enough to kill both medium and small class in 1 hit,then go for any weapon that you like.Personally,just pick any weapon that will gives the highest ATK when compounded with cards and is refined.

- To get maximum damage of SBK,use 4 slot weapon with 4 Andre on the left hand while the strongest / elemental weapon will be equipped in the right hand.This is because the effect of "property transfers".


The best card to use for weapon class will be Andre card.No doubt ATK +20 is what we SBK sinX gonna need to pump our damage to the highest.If you're afraid that your hit rate is low,then use Mummy card instead.But personally there are many monsters out there with high EXP but low AGI,so just go and hunt those monsters rather than hunting for high EXP monster but at the same time high AGI too.Low AGI means easy for us to hit even without equipping Mummy card.


Armor :

-What choices do we have when choosing an armor?By far the best armor in RO for assassin cross will be Mink Coat,Chainmail and Thief Clothes.Thief clothes although can gives additional 1 AGI and having weight same like 1 white potion,but it only can be equipped by Thief class profession,which makes it hard to get a +7,+8 and +9 Thief Clothes by means of refinement.Mink Coat in the other hand can be equipped by all profession,and if you have a very very precious card to be compounded on an armor like Ghostring Card,and wish to let every character of yours like Priest to use it after your assassin cross reach lvl 99,then Mink Coat is the best.Otherwise use chainmail.There's no specific reason when choosing armor,just get the best armor which is the best for you and gives high DEF rate.


The best card for armor depends on your choices.
- PecoPeco [MHP+10% good for those who want to have high HP]
- Roda Frog [MHP+400,SP+50,extra SP is good but the additional HP is too low for us.]
- Picky [STR+1,ATK+10,good for extra damage.Those who goes extreme should use this card instead]
- Dokebi [protection against wind based attack..good for protecting yourself from those annoying Jupitell Thunder and Lord Of Vermillion]
- Marc [protection from being freeze,good against Storm Gust,just that don't let yourself get hit by all the 10 hits of SG eventhough you're not frozen.]
- Cornutus [good to prevent your armor from break.By far only Meltdown skill and Mailbreaker dagger can break your armor.This card however need more consideration if you want to compound it as our long hand friend in WoE [rogue / stalker] can strip our armor even with using this card,which makes us totally in hell mode.]


Shoes :
Same like picking an armor,just pick the best shoes.In my opinion,Boots is the best for you as it have 4 DEF to protect you compares to Shoes with just 2 DEF.

The best card for shoes class equipment will be as follows
- Sohee [15% additional MSP,3% additional sp regen,good for those who are pretty confident that SBK can kill in 1 hit.This card also gives battle period longer and rest shorter than we can imagine as we have higher frequency of using this skill.]
- Verit [8% additional MSP/MHP..this card have the highest rating than any other shoes type card.Good for HP and SP]
- Matyr [10% MHP and AGI +1,only good for AGI based sinX.If you have the choice to choose between Matyr and Verit [both are dog class monster ^^'''] then choose Verit.Higher SP is better for us in battle.]
- Eggyra [15% additional sp regen..not too bad but not too good either.Use this if you feel you need to up your sp regen.]


Robe :
Manteau is without doubt the best for any melee attacker type profession.High DEF means less reduction.Also its easy to get one,just go to the Churchyard map or Church map,and ask our Big-Mouth-On-The-Stomach friend to drops one.Wraith have 2 times fire elemental weakness,so SBK can dish out this enemy with 1 SBK.

As for card,no doubt Raydric [20% normal damage deduction] will be our best friend.Whisper [flee+20,50% extra damage from Ghost based attack] in the other hand are AGI based sinX's best friend.


Shield :
If you're going for one hand weapon wielder,then use Buckler.Buckler is the best that we can equip,as shield and mirror shield are only for swordsman class profession.

As for card,most cards for shield reduces 30% damage depending on the class that the card goes.If we choose to play in Niflheim,use Khalitzburg card.Choose the right card depending on what class you plan to kill for leveling.But since the coming of new cards,i suggest this 3 cards,which applies directly to the size factors,and not by class.
- Mysteltainn [25% damage reduction from all small size monster,DEF+1,good for all small monster]
- Tirfing [25% damage reduction from all medium size monster,DEF+1,good for all medium monster,and in WoE and PvP,this works really great]
- Executioner [25% damage reduction from all big size monster,DEF+1,good for all big monster,and this one should be used when going MVP and playing with Raydrics.]

*There are certain new cards that gives extra DEF and MDEF based on the total refine we have on the equipment that the card goes.If you choose on more DEF and MDEF,then use this card instead.


Headgear :
Another important part for SBK sinX.There are many headgears that gives us so many benefits,ranging from caps[1],satanic chain,helm of sun,angelic helm,mistress crown..you name it all.Choose the best one that you can get and remember,expensive headgear doesn't mean it's much better.

Mistress Crown [up]:
The SBK's best headgear by far.INT +2 and MSP + 150 is what SBK sinX would like as +2 INT gives better damage and 150 additional MSP increases frequency of usage.Its also cheap,ranging between 25m-40m in Penril server.Too bad attempting to refine this headgear to more than +4 will make us cry a lot.

Lord Circlet [up]:
STR +1,INT +1 and LUK +1.What else can we say?Its a rare type headgear that have price between 100m-200m in Penril Sever.If you're think you're rich enough to get this,then go on.But personally in my opinion Mistress Crown is much better than this.Too bad attempting to refine this headgear to more than +4 will make us cry a lot.

Helm Of Sun [up,middle]:
The best equipment that gives good bonus.STR +3 and INT +2 is good enough for any profession that can fully use the bonus from this headgear.Too bad it is as expensive as Lord Circlet [perhaps more].Too bad attempting to refine this headgear to more than +4 will make us cry a lot.

Cap[1] [up]:
The best slotted headgear that a sinX can use.This one is the most popular one to be made as +7,+8 or +9 compare to the headgears above,and its easy to get one too.There are many cards that gives good bonus to SBK sinX by compounding it to the cap.This one also have the most 'expensive' price among the headgears that i'm gonna recommend to you [250k...OMG!!So 'expensive' ^_^].

Poo Poo Hat [up]:
The best for those who like PvP and WoE.This one do reduce damage from any other SBK sinX,which makes it the most popular headgear.Beside it looks cute too and funny.

Headband Of Power [up]:
One of the most popular headgear in RO.Bonus of STR +2 is a great benefit to any melee attacker,although we're not made to be a melee type,but at least the bonus increases our SBK damage.Also its easier to get this items as we only need to do a gathering items quest to get one.It's also good to be made as +7,+8 and +9 headgear,which gives us better overall defense.

Ear Of Devil / Ear of Angel [middle]:
STR +1 and DEF +1 is not bad for a middle type headgear.This one also gives sinX the 'most feared' look.

*I know there are many more headgears out there for you to wear.But in my personal opinion,use Mistress Crown or cap[1] with STR / INT / SP bonus.It gives us longer battle period and high output damage.

As for cards,not many that can gives SBK sinX benefits.
- Willow [SP+80,more SP,then use this]
- Pharaoh [70% deduction from the normal SP consumption when using skills,if you want to use lvl 10 SBK that uses 9 SP and lvl 5 SBK that uses 6 SP,then use this card.Too bad this is MVP cards,means that its almostly hard to get one]
- Elder Willow [INT+2,looks good,but Mistress Crown is much much better]
- Carat [INT+2,SP+150 if using +9,+10 headgear,yet another reason why we should choose Mistress Crown than using this card.]
- Wicked Nymph [INT+1,SP+50,this one not too shabby,but still Mistress Crown is the winner]
- Clock Tower Manager [INT+1,5% casting time deduction,if goes combo (combo with Alarm and Clock card) then DEF/MDEF+3,5% casting time deduction is too little,we can't even notice any reduction if we're looking at the casting bar]
- Incubus card [INT-3,SP+150,SP recovery rate reduces by 20%,however if comboed with Succubus card,INT+4 and SP recovery rate increases by 30%,this card is very very good.With Succubus/Incubus combo,we can have both high HP and SP,as well as giving us defensives stats and offensives stats.]


Accessory :

Clip is by far the most popular one.If you're rich to buy Ancient Ring[1] and Ancient Earrings[1],then go and buy.Ring and Earrings also can be used.

There are many cards that we can use for our accessory.Below are some of it
- Mantis [STR+3,combine this with ancient ring to give you high damage]
- Zerom [DEX+3,combine this with ancient glove to give you high hit rate]
- Tarou [STR+2,not really as good as Mantis card but if comboed with his big brother Cramp card,then the bonus STR even surpasses Mantis + Ancient Ring STR bonus combo]



WHY YOUR RECOMMENDATION ARE ONLY BASED ON STR / INT / SP AND NOT VIT?

If you've see all the recommendation of equipment and cards that i have,all of it are more to STR / ATK / INT / SP recommendation.Why not suggest VIT too?

As an extreme type Soul Breaker,we're more into 1 hit kill attempt,means that to gives higher rate of 1 hit kill,higher ATK,STR and INT is what we gonna need.SP is for the battle duration,which gives us longer battle time before we take our rest to regenerate our SP.So with 1 hit kill attempt that gives the enemies no chances of attacking us,do we need more VIT?Increasing VIT eventhough can increase our MHP and status ailment protection,but really we not gonna need it as we have our SBK to protect us from it.

So instead of pumping our MHP and status protection,why not pumping the rate of 1 hit killer SBK,as it gives us higher survival rate in battle.



BUILDS :

I think i mentioned this one before,but not as detail as this part that gonna tell you more than that.Once reborn,we have 100 points to be distribute to any of our stats.Since we've pass the stage of assassin job,so i assume we by now have the best equipment and weapon,in which gonna help us a lot during our leveling up.

So which stats should be invested first?The list of stats below is just my recommendation,of course you don't need to follow it.I know some of you might be rich enough to get anything you want,so most likely leveling up as a high thief won't be much problem to you.The guide of stats distribution below is only for those who are not in the category of 'rich character',and those who want to train effectively at a minimal expenditure / budget.

STR :
- +1 base damage per point for melee weapons.
- A bonus of (Str/10)^2 total (ie, at 50 Str, 25 points total) for melee weapons where Str/10 is rounded down.
- +1 base damage per 5 points for missile weapons.
- +30 carrying capacity per point of Base Str (the left hand part of Str only).
Comments : This one is a MUST for us full SBK sinX.But seriously when we reached the stage of High Thief,i assume we have all the best weapon such as +7 Triple Boned Gladius,+10 Triple Titan Stilleto and many other more,in which we can use to train our High Thief.It gives us better damage and beside,we only train with monsters that have low HP.So skip this stat at the earlier stage of High Thief.

INT :
- +1 Base MAtk per point.
- +1% to MaxSP per point.
- SP Recovery items effect increased by +2% per point.
- Every 6 full points of INT increases SP Recovery Power by 1 and past 120 INT, every 2 INT gives a bonus to SP Recovery Power of 1.
- A bonus to MinMAtk of (Int/7)^2 total where (Int/7) is rounded down.
- A bonus to MaxMatk of (Int/5)^2 total where (Int/5) is rounded down.
- +1 spell damage reduction (defensive) per point.
- Increasing INT also decreases the chance of being afflicted by the negative status affects of Blind, Sleep and Stone Curse.
Comments : Also a must for any full SBK build.We don't need this at the earlier points,but later we gonna invest this stat like hell.I suggest invest this stat to 60 only to give us high SP and raise SBK damage,ONLY after we invest our stats to VIT.

VIT :
- +1% to MaxHP per point.
- +0.8 weapon damage reduction (defensive) per point.
- Healing items effect increased by +2% per point.
- Every 5 full points of VIT increases HP Recovery Power by 1
- For monsters, there is a bonus to damage reduction of rnd(0,[VIT/20]^2-1).
- For players, there is a bonus to damage reduction of [VIT*0.5] + rnd([VIT*0.3], max([VIT*0.3],[VIT^2/150]-1)).
- There is a hidden bonus of +1 Int style MDEF per 2 points.
- Increasing VIT also decreases the chance of being afflicted by the negative status affects of Poison, Silence and Stun.
Comments : INVEST THIS ONE FIRST!This stat is soo good at the earlier stage,combine this with our refined equipments,we get low damage from monsters such as poporings,andre,deniro,marina...you name it.My suggestion is to raise this stat to 40 first,since this is the only defensive stats that we have to reduce damage from the enemies.We don't have good flee to begin with,so invest this point FIRST.I don't really recommend you to invest your earlier points in STR as we can get higher damage by using our weapon that we used when leveling up as an assassin.

DEX :
- +1 to hit per point.
- Increased attack speed per point.
- +1 base damage per point for missile weapons.
- Bonus of (Dex/10)^2 total (ie, at 50 Dex, 25 points total) for missile weapons where dex/10 is rounded down.
- +1 base damage per 5 points for melee weapons.
- +1 minimum damage per point for melee weapons. If Dex exceeds the Atk value of the melee weapon, use the Atk of the melee weapon for the min value (ie. max and min values become the same).
- Reduces spell casting time by a percentage calculated as Dex/1.5 (ie. 30 Dex = 20% casting time reduction).
- +0.1% forging for Blacksmiths.
Comments : Raising this in the earlier stage might be a good idea.Or you can just use a combination of modifier cards with mummy card,so that we can skip this stat later.For full SBK sinX,we gonna need minimum 30 DEX for better casting time and better accuracy.However in the future patch,monster will become more powerful and fast,so 30 DEX won't be enough.

Comments : Time is the only thing that gonna make us feel very very long when using this kind of distribution.Since with no STR to aid us,we gonna feel boring to train at the mid 50s.

Comments - Another weird build,but also one of the best since it has a highest hit rate than all other build.And most likely,the casting time is much faster than the blink of our eyes.DEX increases the min/max ATK a bit,and with this build,you're almost like a Falcon Assault sniper.High accuracy,and you can ensure that Wanderman won't even be able to dodge your attacks.This build is designed to be the perfect hitter in WoE,as most of our slot weapon can be put with Andre card to give better damage without worrying that our SBK will miss.However for MVP like Knight Of Windstorm,we might still need the usage of Mummy card,as just like what other sniper's told me,full MVP DEX build snipers [160 DEX] can miss when hitting this MVP.Also in my hell opinion,this build can also make the deadly bottle using CDP skill ^^.But note that this build has the lowest MHP of all..

Comments - I think i did mention before that any AGI SBK sinX is not a pure type,IT'S A HYBRID TYPE.This build can goes SBK and doing melee attacking too.By modifying the total investment of INT and STR,this build can have good damage on both melee and SBK.

It's not necessary to follow my suggestion of stat build.You know more of your sinX than i do.Since i feel much better of training it this way,so i just put it like above.If you have suggestion on how you allocate your stat point,feel free to tell it in this forum.

[5]~LEVELING UP
================================================== ========

WHERE TO LEVEL UP? :

This question by rating in the ROempire forums,is the 2nd most popular question when its about building a character.The first most popular question will be "What stats should i have for my character?".Well it might be a good idea to include some leveling guide in here,since we're different from the AGI based sinX that can train almost anywhere with their 'weee heee,catch and hit me if you can ' AGI stats.

Full SBK SinX have only VIT as our defensive stats.With this try not to be a hero and leveling up in place where mobs is very high and damage from monster exceed 1k.Mind you mobs is not our best friend

High Novice :
Do we need more specific place for Novice?Can i say "Go to GH and you can leveling up there very very fast,as well dying very very very fast too >"..hehe.There is not much place for Novice to train,just hit those Poring and Drops,all the low level monster which is usually 1 map out from the main city [except Amatsu,Comodo,Gonryun,Aldebaran,LuoYang,Einbroch that have monster's with high damage on the 1st map out from this city].If you got tanks,then go for Poporings.Metaling [another Poring's family member] in the other hand is not good for leveling up as they have the reflect shield skill which can kill Novice / High Novice instantly.

High Thief :
- Level 10 - 20
Go for Poporings,as we don't have that much place in the earlier levels to go on.Poporing is the best monster by far for us to train in the earlier levels.So stop asking about any other monster that gives more EXP than Poporings.

- Level 21-30
If you can stand the boringness of training with Poporing,then i suggest you to stay in the Poporing area.For others that want something more than just training and getting EXP,then Byalan and Ant Hell is a good choice,if not just go to any 2-3 map out from any main city as in those map got low level monster which is also the best training place for low level character.As by now you can equip back all your equipment,so we can go more deeper places this time.

- Level 31-50
By now we need at least 200 exp per kill to level up fast,so i suggest you to train in Beach_dun3 ,where Megalodon and Thara Frog will accompany us during this time.Just run away from Neraid and hydra mobs,and kill those red frog and fish bone.You might as well try for Drainliar and Zerom in Sphinx level 1.Just run away from Requeim and Matyr,as these 2 monster is not our best friend and have high damage.Other recommendation place will be Mjolnir dungeon level 1 and 2,Culverts all level [run away from MVP Golden Bug and Cramp if you plan to go for level 4 Culverts],or just go for Orc map [Orc lady and Orc warrior map] or Orc dungeon [beware of mobs].Another good suggestion from me is to train in Metaling place [einbech field].Metaling have about 400+ exp per kill,which is always a good for us,and i need to remind you that training with Metaling will be much easier with damascus.Why damascus?It is because that small jumping thing have a freaking skill WEAPON BREAKER,which can break our weapon easily,since we have low flee and easy for Metaling to target our weapon.Damascus is the best since it doesn't break like Stilleto or Gladius,so try using Damascus.Also it is best when you have tanker especially Priest when leveling in Metaling map,since Metaling have Crusader's Reflect shield skill and Merchant's Mammonite skill.Bring lot of pots with you if you train in any of those places above.

- Level 51-60
Stick to those places above,as we don't have high flee to aid us,which gonna make leveling up kinda hard during these time.But hey,if patience is always with you,then leveling up during this time is nothing.If you plan to change your job at JLVL 40,then around this level you should be able to do so.Another recommendation is to use Bow Of Roguemaster and go train in any map with immobile monster such as Geographer,Flora and Greatest General.Just ask any Hunter with arrow making ability to make the appropriate arrow for you.If you plan on killing Geographer,you'll need a priest with Lex Divina,to shut Geographer's healing ability,especially if got another Geographer near your target,as Geographer can be quite annoying with its ability to heal other monsters nearby it.
*Although you can change to sinX at jlvl 40,but i strictly recommend you to go for jlvl 45 or jlvl 50.But its all up to you.

- Level 61-70
If you're go for jlvl 40 change,then i assume that you have become sinX by this level.If you go for jlvl 45 and jlvl 50,then change during this level.If you're still a High Thief,then go stick to the same old place,as we have no more place to go.But if you're an assassin cross by now,try to get SBK to level 10 first,by training in the previous training places.Then we can start changing our training place to something more extreme.

By this time,don't expect your damage can kill monsters with one hit.Our SBK damage will be around 4k-6k,so find something that is easy for us to handle with our SBK.

- Level 70 - 99
My recommendation with SBK ================================================== ========

Fire elemental SBK :
Equip with +8 triple hurricane saber and any fire elemental sword,and go hunt this monsters
*Also if have a Sage / Scholar,use 2 +8 triple hurricane saber and ask for Flame Launcher

Geographer [Einbech/Yuno map]-
Immobile.Thats our advantages here.Just try not to hit a group of Geographer,as the other Geographer can heal any monster that you hit.Maximum need 2 SBK to deal this thing.More than 2 SBK,you need to revise back your stat distribution or weapon that you use.

Driller [Umbala dungeon]-
Bring Clairvoyant clip with you.Just as its little brother Frilldora like to cloak,so do this thing.They're quite fast too,but 1 SBK is enough to kill it.

Increase Soil [1 map out of LuoYang/LuoYang tombs]-
Another good prey for us.This one however can attack from about 3-5 cell distance from us.So kill it fast and get your EXP.

LiMe Mang Ryang [LuoYang tombs]-
1 SBK is all we need to deal this thing.

Hye Gun [2nd and 3rd map of LuoYang tombs]
Undead monsters,which is always good if we have fire elemental weapon.1-2 SBK is enough for killing it.

Dullahan [all map of niflheim area]
Another good undead monster.Just beware of its critical hit and shadow attack.Recommendation is to hunt it when your level is about 80++.Maximum 2 SBK.

Clock [Clock tower lvl 2 and lvl 4]
Although poison can increase our SBK damage against it,but i still prefer to use Fire elemental attack.Maximum 2 SBK for killing this monster.

Pitman [Einbech cave lvl 1]
This is the new RO ep10 monster,but nothing new to our SBK,since our SBK was meant to kill it.1 SBK is more than enough to bring it down.

Disguise [Niflheim map 1,after Yggdrasil tree map and 2 map west from Niflheim city]
Another best friend for Fire SBK users.With fire damage can deals 2x damage,expect that 1 SBK is what we need to kill it.

Water / Ice elemental SBK :
Equip with +8 triple hurricane saber and any water / ice elemental sword,and go hunt this monsters
*Also if have a Sage / Scholar,use 2 +8 triple hurricane saber and ask for Frost weapon

All monsters in Magma Dungeon [Magma dungeon lvl 1]-
The only thing that we can't expect our SBK to kill in 2 shots is Lava Golem.But its slaves,Blazzer is always good for ur SBK.Other fire elemental monster here includes Kaho,Explosion and Grizzly.Bring a lot of pots if you plan on long time leveling here.

Goat [Einbech map]-
Usually Wizard's lvl 10 cold bolt or lvl 10 Storm Gust can kill this thing.Well our SBK also can do the same thing,just that you must prepare to walk away fast from it if 1 SBK is not enough to take it down.Maximum we gonna need 2 SBK.

Pasana / Marduk [Sphinx 3rd / 4th /5th map]-
Pasana is quite dangerous,expect killing it ONLY when your blvl is 80++.Marduk in the other hand,is easy to handle.

High Orc [Geffen map 14,CT underground tunnel]-
1 SBK is what we need to kill this purple orc.Just becareful and act fast as High Orc is quite fast.

Minorous [Pyramid lvl 2,Sphinx lvl 4]-
Usually Spear Knight's leveling buddy,but we also can be its buddy.Just act fast and go here to train ONLY when your SBK can kill in 1 shot,as Minorous's hit is quite painful.

Nine Tail [Payon cave map 3,4,5]-
This one is strong.With fast movement and high damage, Cloak + SBK is the best technique when dealing it.

Grand Peco [Yuno field 8]-
Cousin's of PecoPeco and Crusaders' journey mate.This one is good since it gives us 2k++ exp and healing items as well [Mastela Fruit].

Wind elemental SBK :
Equip with +8 triple hurricane saber and any Wind elemental sword,and go hunt this monsters
*Also if have a Sage / Scholar,use 2 +8 triple hurricane saber and ask for Lightning Loader

All Byalan monsters [recommendation is to go lvl 3,4,5]-
No doubt that everyone with wind weapon,wind spells will go here for training.But the EXP here is not that good.

Fur seal / Alligator [Comodo map 2]-
Another good place for leveling up.Fur Seal is quite painful,so try to conduct hit and run tactics.But usually maximum of 2 SBK is all we need to kill Fur seal and the gang here.

Sea Otter [Comodo map 4]-
Fur seal's big brother,but same tactics like we used on Fur Seal can be used to take it down.

Kapha [Amatsu field map]-
This one is quite painful,but expect that maximum 2 SBK is what we need to kill it.Same tactics like Fur Seal in order to leveling safe.

Gig [Magma dungeon map 2]-
Not very good,beside got lots of other monster will gonna attack us,and this include Nightmare's big brother,Nightmare Terror and Deviruchi's cousin,Diabolic.

Earth elemental SBK :
Equip with +8 triple hurricane saber and any earth elemental sword,and go hunt this monsters
*Earth is not really popular as there's not many wind property monster out there,but i try to include in here as well.
*Also if have a Sage / Scholar,use 2 +8 triple hurricane saber and ask for Seismic weapon

Joker [CT underground lowest lvl]-
2 SBK is what we need.But this guy is very tough,most likely our SBK's physical ATK part will gonna miss oftenly,so try it only when your level is 90++.

Wanderman [Glast heim castle lvl 2,GL library,Sunken ship]-
Another dangerous monsters,even with blvl 90++ can't get this thing in 1 SBK.Anyway 1 SBK is possible to do.Note that Cloak + SBK won't work against it,as it can detect hidden player,and posses fast movement.

Holy elemental SBK :
Equip with +8 triple hurricane saber and any Holy elemental sword,and go hunt this monsters
*Also if have priest,use 2 +8 triple hurricane saber and ask for Aspersio
*By far only 1 sword that sinX can use to get the holy property,which is Excalibur.Holy Avenger in the other hand can only be equipped by crusaders / paladins.

Isis [Pyramid lvl 2,4]-
No doubt with low hp,1 SBK can instantly kill it.

Raydric [Glast heim castle map 2,chivalry lvl 1,2]-
This is the best monster for any SBK sinX.with good EXP and good drops,no doubt this one always the most favourable monster.However it is recommended to go here once your SBK can kill it in 1 shot.Raydric is quite fast and painful.

Deviruchi [Geffen dungeon map 3]-
OK!This one although small but fast and have high damage.But 1 SBK can kill it fast.

Gibbet [all Niflheim map]-
If you have holy elemental weapon,then forget other monsters and go niflheim immediately.This one is the most rewarding monster with low HP,and 1 SBK is more than enough to kill it.If you have hard time to kill this thing,then don't consider yourself as Full SBK sinX.Recommended go here around lvl 80++.

Injustice [Glast Heim prisons map 1,2]-
Not too bad,but its Sonic Blow is quite painful.With low MSPD,we can conduct hit and run tactics against it.

Dark Frame [Glast heim castle map 1,library]-
Another good monster,as holy works wonder against it,just that becareful when dealing with it,as it has high damage and can detect us under Cloak mode.

All undead property monsters [any place with undead property monster]-
This is where holy elemental shows it effect 100%.Although Fire also works wonder,but i prefer Holy elemental.Undead monster includes Antique Firelock,Hye Gun,Dullahan,Zombie prisoner,Skel Prisoner and Wraith.

All Dark property monsters [any place with dark property monster]
This is where holy elemental shows it effect 100%.No elemental works as wonder as holy,since only holy attack can deal extra damage on this monster.Dark property monster includes most kind of demon class monsters,like Isis,Raydric Archer and many more.

Use hit and run tactics against demon / insect / boss class / anyone with Ruwach or Sight or Detect skills while using cloak and hit tactics against all the non detect / brute / demi human / non boss / plant / neutral / undead / or any non demon/insect class monster.

BEST SKILL ALLOCATION FOR FULL SBK ASSASSIN CROSS :

Basically i don't need to put this in the first place,but since SBK sinX is a different type with unique kind of build,so i think it's good to suggest few type of skill allocation,just for reference.But as what i say before,you all knew your sinX better than i do.Put all the skills that you think gonna help you a lot,not just because of its cool animation.I assume that as a High Thief,you all know where to put your skills,since not much skill that we can use as a High Thief.But when it comes to assassin cross,we should plan our skill allocation carefully.69 skill point maybe to much but we will realize later that we still gonna need more than 69 skill point to make a better sinX.

Here's the skill list and description of it.

Skills : Double Attack
Description : Damage an enemy twice in one hit by chance with Dagger Class weapons.
Skill type : Passive
Comments : Essential for any Thief / High Thief.Higher skill level increases chances for double attack.MAX it.

Description : Increase dodge rates by percentage.
Skill type : Passive
Comments : Essential for any Thief / High Thief.Higher skill level increases chances for dodging.MAX it.

Skills : Steal
Description : Steal items from monsters by chance. Items that can be obtained are items that should/can only be obtained from the monster's drop list.DEX and LUK affects the success rate.
Skill type : Active
Comments : We don't have high LUK and DEX to increase the chances of stealing rare items from monsters.But it's essential to take it to lvl 5 for getting Hide.

Skills : Hiding
Description : Hide from monsters or players to avoid danger. Does not affect Insect, Demon,and Boss monsters. Automatically becomes disabled once spotted detection skills or gets hit before hiding.
Skill type : Active
Comments : Nice skills for avoiding danger.Take it to lvl 2 or above as a pre-requisite for cloaking skill.

Skills : Envenom
Description : Attacks enemies with poison. Poisons enemy by chance.
Skill type : Active
Comments : It's an active skill,and we're on the road to be a skill users.So its good thing to max it.Maxing it will open the SinX's poison tree skill.

Skills : Detoxify
Description : Cures poison on the target.
Skill type : Active
Comments : Undead,demon,plant,demi human,normal and insect class like to poison us,so instead of looking for a green herb or green potion to aid us,it's better to have this skill.It's just 1 skill point anyway,and it's essential to open the SinX's poison tree skill.

Skills : Pick stone
Description : Creates a stone for Throw stone. Cannot be used when weight reaches over 50%.
Skill type : Active
Comments : Picking up a stones is very essential for using the throw stone skill.And again in mRO Comodo cave [beach dungeon 2],you can find stones everywhere for you to loot without have to use this skill.But since it's a quest skill,so there's no way we can run out from it ^^.

Skills : Throw stone
Description : Throws a stone to a target that pierces defense and deals 50 neutral damage.Has a 5% chance to stun the target. Its range is up to 7 cells.
Skill type : Active
Comments : This is the tanking skill that any assassin will use to tank a novice.A good skill,but we as SBK sinX prefer a silent way of killing.But since it's a quest skill,so there's no way we can run out from it ^^.

Skills : Sprinkle sand
Description : Deals a 125% earth property damage and blinds the target by 15%. Has a 1 cell range.
Skill type : Active
Comments : Not that good but Blind status is useful.But since it's a quest skill,so there's no way we can run out from it ^^.

Skills : Back slide
Description : Slide back 5 cells opposite to where you're facing. Does not work in Guild Sieges.
Skill type : Active
Comments : If you think walking is slower way to escape when someone is targetting at you,use this.As long as you're facing the enemy,then this skill will works well.But since it's a quest skill,so there's no way we can run out from it ^^.



Assassin ================================================== ========

Skills : Right mastery
Description : Restores Right-hand Damage when using two weapons.
Skill type : Passive
Comments : Only good for AGI sinX.Get it only as a pre-requisite to Meteor Assault.

Description : Restores Left-hand Damage when using two weapons.

Comments : Again,Only good for AGI sinX.Since this skill is not needed for other skill,so skip it.

Skills : Katar mastery
Description : Increases Katar-class weapon damage.
Skill type : Passive
Comments : If you wish to be a SBK Katar users,go take this skill.

Skills : Sonic Blow
Description : Attack eight times with katar weapons. Has a small chance to stun target.
Skill type : Active
Comments : Nice skill to have if you're a Katar user.Combined this with EDP and cloaking,this will make others fear of you.If you're going to take it,then i suggest MAX it.

Skills : Cloaking
Description : Enable to move stealthily when adjacent to walls.Level 3 skill and above enables cloaking off wall.
Skill type : Active
Comments : MAX it.We need this skill for SBK + Cloaking combo.Maxing it gives us 100% MSPD when we're off wall,which is always important to us,especially if an AGI character with any detect skill is trying to reveal us.The point here is that if we don't regain our movement speed while cloaking,most likely any AGI character [even without Increase AGI enchanted on them] can chase us easily.Note that AGI do increase the movement speed.

Skills : Grimtooth
Description : Attack enemies with a katar while hiding. Slightly decreases the MSPD of targets affected by Grimtooth. It ignores defense.
Skill type : Active
Comments : Again for any Katar users,take it if you feel that you like to hide a lot.Note that only hide skill works with Grimtooth.

Skills : Enchant Poison
Description : Enchant weapons with the poison property for a duration of time.Has a small chance to poison enemies.
Skill type : Active
Comments : Change our weapon attribute into poison.Although the percentage of poisoning rate won't work with our SBK,but the poison attribute will always works well with our SBK.

Skills : Poison React
Description : Counters a one-time poison property attack with your own attack by 50%. The
skill is cancelled when you are able to counter an attack or after 30 seconds.[i know the description of this skill change,but i kinda lazy to put the latest one.Go check it out in this forum ^^]
Skill type : Active
Comments : Most likely the enemy won't even stand a chance to hit us with a poison property attack since we're one hit killer SBK sinX.But if you're going for Venom Splasher,then get it,although it seems useless.Remember that it only counters against a poison type attack,so againts other elemental / non elemental attack,it gonna be useless.

Skills : Venom Dust
Description : Spreads dust in a 3x3 area that poisons enemies inside the area for a duration.Requires a Red Gemstone.
Skill type : Active
Comments : If you wish to poison an enemy before SBK it,then take this skill.Personally i don't recommend you to poison enemy,since it's almost a waste of time to do it.But then it's a whole different story if it is used in WoE.

Skills : Venom Splasher
Description : Damage and poison an enemy once their HP reaches 2/3 of their MHP. A timerwill appear afterwards. If hit while the timer is still on, the skill iscancelled. If the timer finishes, the target will explode, resulting in a 25%
splash damage in 9 cells around the target and will also poison the affected
enemies. [i know the description of this skill change,but i kinda lazy to put the latest one.Go check it out in this forum ^^]

Comments : It's all up to you to decide wether to take this or Sonic Blow to combo with cloaking skill.Personally this skill is totally a waste of skill points.


Assassin Cross ================================================== ========

Skills : Advanced Katar Research
Description : Increases Katar-Class Weapon damage further.

Comments : Again,for SBK Katar users,take this.

Skills : Soul Breaker
Description : Inflict physical and INT damage to the target. The skill pierces Fleerates and will ignore damage enhancing factors but will use the element being used by the assassin.

Comments : MAX it!!!This is what this guide for.

Skills : Meteor Assault
Description : Cause mass damage within an area around you. Enemies hit would suffer Stun,Blind,or External Bleeding ailments by chance. Has a 0.5 second casting and delay time.

Comments : A mob control skill.This skill looks cool,launching Soul Breaker waves around you [which is totally damn cool],and the status ailment also is great.2 hand SBK sinX will sure gain the benefits of maxing this skill.

Skills : Create Deadly Poison

Comments - This is a full Katar SBK build that emphasize on dealing damage with the help of Katar class weapon.Although Katar is not recommended for Soul Breaker but it is indeed very important for any other Katar skills like Sonic Blow.This build is designed to inflict Soul Breaker/Sonic Blow during Cloaking mode,in which we don't need to change our weapon for it,as we only gonna focus on using Katar.In WoE,SBK is used against low DEF and low HP enemy while EDP+Sonic Blow is used against enemy with high DEF like Lord Knight.

Comments - If you don't plan on using Katar as SBK weapon,then this should be the best for you.Dual hand will always have higher damage than Katar class when it comes to SBK.Dual hand includes equipping dagger / 1 hand swords in both hands,with the strongest weapon is equipped on the right hand.With high rate of killing enemies in 1 SBK,there's no need for us to invest in other attacking skills.But for the sake of dealing mobs,its best if we invest in Meteor Assault.This build have the highest rating in my server [mRO-Penril] and most likely every SBK sinX that we see walking around will have this kind of build.

Comments : The powerhouse build that mainly focus on the usage of full dual hand when SBKing and full katar when using Sonic Blow + EDP.This build is another favourite one of mine as you can be both emperium breaker and defender during WoE.9 cloaking is good enough for this build to survive in any situation.Also this build is the only build that fully take up all our skill points when investing.But trust me it's really worth it to be able to use 2 of the assassin cross's most powerful skill.And with meteor assault come in handy when surrounded by mobs,this build sure rocks.This build have the highest rating in my server [mRO-Penril] and most likely every SBK sinX that we see walking around will have this kind of build.


Its up to you if you want to pick lvl 10 cloaking or not,but for any WoE and PvP sinX,it's best to invest maximum 10 skill points to cloaking.Regaining our original MSPD while cloaking is important as we need move quick and run away from any danger like being detected from other players.But if you're a type that like to show yourself during battle and only use hit and run tactics,then perhaps you can take cloaking to lvl 5,as lvl 5 is enough to provide us with good MSPD during cloaking mode.


For saving our skill points,try to invest in maximum only 3 type of attacking/offensives skills,as it is pointless for us to invest in every attacking skills of sinX but in the end,we only use 1-2 of it.Note that as SBK sinX,we gonna focus more on using Soul Breaker than using other attacking skills.Soul Breaker-ing enemy is what we gonna do in our whole life as SBK sinX.Other skill points can be use for upping all other good skills that may aid us during battle.

[7]~LIVING AS SBK'S SINX

IN PVP

I know most of us did pay a visit to the PvP arena,just to check our battle ability against other players.In my cases i have fight against almost all classes..so this is what i can shared with you all.All of this opinion below are based on 1v1 combat style.

- Lord Knight
The monster of MHP in PvP.They are tough to kill,especially if the LK are VIT/STR build,and use 1h spear with shield.With PecoPeco to give them faster MSPD,9 cells of SBK range seems not enough to cover our safety.Use cloak + hit tactics and make sure we run as fast as possible during the 3s after cast delay,and then cloak again.If got support from Priest,then most likely its an easy job.And again..if both party have their own support,then its a battle of mind and strength and tactics to see who can wipe out their enemy first.Recommended to fight 1v1 with tactics,as we only gonna depend on our SBk to hit it.However for AGI LK,its a whole different.Most AGI LK are 2h sword users,which disables them from using any shield.Although got AGI LK with 1h sword and shield equipped,but the attack speed won't be high enough,unlike 2h sword users with Two Hand Quicken skills.And again,since they're AGI build,use Mummy card to get high hit rate.

- Paladin
Depending on the build,Paladin can be a quite nasty enemy.No matter what the build is,ALL PALADIN BUILD CAN USE SHIELD.Even AGI spear paladin with spear quicken gonna use shield.Shield with Thara Frog will gonna be our main problem here.They also have DEFENDER,AUTO GUARD and rarely,some of them like to use Pressure,attempting to sap away our SP.Sacrifice Paladin in the other hand are the hardest type of Paladin to be killed,they have sacrifice,and they have tons of MHP,beside they can spam healing items..if they have HP support such as Apple Of Idun,then their sacrifice damage will be a real nightmare.GC paladin got heal,which makes them last longer in PvP,while shield paladin have shield boomerang,and also Shield chain.Trust me,defeating a Paladin will be much harder if the paladin got support,and if we're a lone ranger.Defeating them is possible anyway,and all we need is just good tactics and good equipments.

- High Priest
They got heal,assumptio,and also they always come with groups.Unless they're MVP build,then defeating them is damn hard.All support High Priest can heal fast,and they don't rely on fast cast to survive,as High Priest with Meditatio can get back its HP to normal with just 2 heal.Killing them is possible although it gonna take much effort to put a High Priest to the floor.And again,if they Lex Divina you and you got silenced,you're doomed..not by the High Priest itself but by other class.

- Champion
All champion build that goes PvP are mostly asura champion,and most of them can kiss goodbye with 2-3 SBK.Don't engage a brave fight against them,instead use cloak + SBK,since they like to asura a lot,and when they're not in critic explosion mode,thats where we gonna SBK them like there's no tomorrow.If they're in asura mode,use cloaking and try not to get near them.For combo champion,it's easy if we got our Mummy carded weapon in our hand,and 1-2 SBK is enough to get them.MSS champion in the other hand rely on DEX to cast MSS,and MSS can be quite painful if carded with Hydra and Skel Worker card.Try hitting them when they're casting it on others..although its a coward way,but we don't really care much about our reputation especially when engaged in combat.

- Mastersmith
They got Mammonite and Hammerfall.Only this 2 skill that get my attention a lot,and when they're on Cart Boost mode,they walk fast,and when they catch us,its gonna be a hard time dealing with them unless we can go to cloaking mode again.VIT STR mastersmith is hard to handle if 1v1,and from what i see,they like spam hammerfall a lot,until we get stunned,and start Mammonite us.If they get all the buffs from Priest,combined it with their support skills,then mostly 3-4 mammonite can make us kiss goodbye to PvP.We only gonna get our chance to kill them when they're busy handling others.

- Biochemist
Honestly, i never engaged in battle with this class.Mostly they're just like Paladin,have potion pitcher,and if they're VIT type,their heal goes even higher.Mammonite with some combination of summoning skill is gonna be their way of battling.I rarely see Biochemist in PvP..maybe because i never realized that there really are Biochemist in PvP.

- Sniper
Fast hit with Double Strafe,and goes even more painful if it comes with Falcon Asssault.They also like to detect a lot,especially if they feel like there's someone hiding.Full Falcon Assault build [99 DEX 99 INT] gonna be an easy job for us,most of them die in 2 SBK.For full DEX AGI sniper,we gonna need our Mummy carded weapon.Its all about avoiding from being detect,and killing them when they're busy with others.For most sniper build,2 SBK build is enough to take them down.

- Minstrel / Gypsy
They like to spam Arrow Vulcan if they're alone,unless they're supporting others.Its not hard to kill them,just get them when they start supporting their party members.If they're full support build,then most likely they gonna spam Double Strafe a lot.2-3 SBK is needed to take them down.

- High Wizard
Nothing is more annoying than fighting a High Wizard that like to spam AoE skills especially when we're in lag condition when playing.If they spotted us,most likely we need to backslide as fast and as far as we can.Don't get freeze by their skill,although some SBK sinX prefer to use Unfrozen armor to keep themselves immune from freezing status,but i rather use tactics during combat.2 SBK is enough to take them down.The best way is to kill them when they're using spells with slow cast time.Most High Wizards are jerks since they like to cause lag to those who are already lag,and only use SG,JT and FD as their main skills.

- Scholar
Not much yet known bout scholar's ability..since i always busy handling other melee figthers rather than supporters.

- Assassin Cross
Fighting against same class is more like a cowboy way of dueling,seeing who is the fastest killer.Its all about tactics and knowledge when dealing with other assassin cross especially SBK type.Just becareful not to get caught by Katar SinX in which they gonna use EDP + Sonic Blow combo on you.When they start using EDP,wait until the duration ends,or when they busy handling other players..SBK them.Most SinX will die bout 2-3 SBK,depending on their build.Full crit katar build with high AGI in the other hand is same like other AGI builds,use Mummy carded weapon.

- Stalker
If they're full stripper,then mostly we need to be quick so that we're not going to get caught by their strip skill.And also they like stalking a lot.Every build of Stalker will goes into stalking mode for quite a long time,and will start attacking when they see the opportunity to do it.Best way is to stalk like them,and when they appear,then we SBK them.Some stalker are really brave enough to show themselves and engage in 1v1 combat..although i want to give them praise for their braveness,but really Stalker are made to use tactics + skill when engage in fighting..so its more like killing themselves if they act like a brave hero.Plagiarism stalker is rarely found in PvP,maybe i just don't realize it anyway.Note that most stalkers are AGI builds,and like any other AGI builds,use Mummy carded weapon.


IN WOE / GVG

SBK sinX in WoE usually are gate defender,or route to emperium defender.Although some dual mastery SBK sinX are also an emperium breaker,but we as SBK sinX are more suited to be the defender.Since there are special rules applied when entering the castle,so we need to use different tactics,which is not the same tactics as PvP.The tactics depend on who we're dealing with,and which part of the castle we're defending.

It's best to group with 1-2 supporters and other range attacker / SBK sinX when guarding.Since the damage of SBK is lowered when entering castle,and no one stupid enough to fight 1v1 when defending,so its best to go as group.Note that we gonna need more than 3 SBK in order to kill certain class,and even more if the enemy's class are LK or Paladin,since they have quite amount of HP.So the best way to kill fast is combined attack,in which all defending members combined their power to launch attacks at the same time towards one target.And remember to use cloak during WoE.

I do have to point out that lvl 3 weapons have +5 ATK for every +1 they get (making that 130 + 25, not 130+20). This is different from damage, because this +5 ATK ignores DEF but is enhanced by cards and element (cards we'll ignore, but element we can't). Hence, the +5 ATK from the Haedonggum would equal to +25 x 200% (Fire vs Undead4) = +50 ATK

Also, the ATK from the left hand is ignored only the RIGHT hand is counted. Anyway, I find the calculations all screwy especially since people from mRO/eRO claim that the skill ignores mDEF.

Let me try the calculations:

71+18 = 89 STR
98+22 = 120 INT
36+19 = 55 DEX
1+7 = 8 LUK

+5 Fire Haedonggum = 130 + 25 ATK, fire property attack

Wraith stats:
10999 HP
30 VIT (note: Vit DEF for monsters is equal to VIT + rnd(0,[VIT/20]^2-1).*)

MUCH lower than your actual output yes? But what if we IGNORE mDEF (as shown by mRO/eRO players)?

total damage = 10015 ~ 11226

MUCH closer to the actual screenshot, yes?

EDIT: oops, forgot to factor in the +5 Since upgrades ignore DEF, we can simply add +25 x 200% (element modifier) to the whole equation...

total damage = 10065 ~ 11276

(NOTE: upgrades aren't initially included in skill modifiers, only overupgrade bonuses; however, the upgrade ATK is enhanced by element)

The size penalty for Soul Breaker would only affect the physical portion (which is relatively weak as it is). However, since the modifiers for the Sword class is so small in difference [75% small, 100% medium, 75% large], the difference is hardly, if ever, noticeable.

* Magic damage: 120 * 10 * 5 + rnd(500,1000) = 6500 ~ 7000

(let's say your opponent had 45% armor DEF and 40 VIT-based DEF, with Cranial and Poopoo Hat)

* Physical total: rnd(1545,1775) * (1-45/100) - 40 = 809.75 ~ 936.25

STEP 1-> (rnd(809.75,936.25) + 25) * 1 = 834.75 ~ 961.25

MA is a nice mob control skill. Just repeatedly spam MA till some monsters get blinded or stunned. Then just get the hell outta there.xD MA depends on your STR, and in that screenie the sinX has 71+18 STr, that means he woiuld get a decent damage. One more thing, that screenie isn't his. I saw it somewhere else once. I think it was from RO-guardians, and it wasn't theirs too. That sinX has buffs. so an additional 10 int.
BTW what card is in a smart haedonggum? I only know that clever clip is worn tail card.XD

Yup, I'd like to think the guide is good, but a bit off-track in the calculations, since mRO players HAVE found that only Thara Frog Card and Poopoo Hat actually reduce the magic damage; the magic damage of SBk ignores mDEF. Theoretically I think this is because even if it's described as magical damage, in reality it isn't.

* magic damage is mATK based, not INT
* magic damage is reduced by mDEF
* magic damage normally has an element (even neutral)

I think that the SBk's "magical part" is a special attack that uses INT, ignores DEF & mDEF (since it's neither a physical nor a magical attack), and does not have any element attached to it BECAUSE it's neither a physical NOR a magical attack. Reminds me of Envenom, except MUCH more effective...

Come to think of it, let me check RO DataZone...

HERE we go... Here's my theory:

Physical portion of SBk is SOMEWHAT like the Physical portion of Envenom:
* can miss
* is reduced by DEF
* is affected by element (Poison)

Also, the Physical portion of SBk is SOMEWHAT like Venom Splasher:
* ATK-only dependent
* is reduced by DEF

Magical portion of SBk is SOMEWHAT like the Envenom bonus damage of Envenom:
* never misses
* is heavily dependent on skill

Which means that SBk is a modified version of Envenom (always suspected this, really), wherein:

* Damage bonus enhancers are ignored (like Venom Splasher)
* ATK damage is reduced by DEF (like Envenom's physical portion)
* damage bonus IGNORES DEF (like Envenom's bonus damage)
* ATK damage is affected by element (instead of Poison, it's affected by weapon element)
* is considered as a ranged attack and is blocked by Pneuma

This would make more sense as to why the damn skill's INT-based damage ignores DEF and mDEF.

EDIT: Notice that SBk requires lvl 5 Envenom even if it's not a poison attack?

Magic def won't make any difference,it won't reduce sbk magical part damage.



The monk have physical immune with her,so if magic def really reduce magical part damage,then it will we much lower.

So far I know size penalty affects soulbreaker.Too bad I don't have any screenies using daggers and swords.
But they are advantages using it:
~Swords have more ATK than daggers
~Swords like blade have same slots like mg,cutter,dagger,and so forth
~Swords have more weapon upgrades damage

Last,but of course.Not the least,I have a sh** loads of SS here.I hope you can benifit from it and use it to modify your guide,I really hope it can beat Jayworms guide in RO-G.

Yea...you can trust mRO,eRO players to find just about anything. They're pro botters as we all know. Spend the whole day in the PvP rooms killing innocent people like myself. But i found out something about evenom. It can be affected by cards. 'm sure other people have already found this out. I tried using a +8triple bloody saber to spam evenom on orc lady and it did something like 700 damage. That was back when i was a high thief. Then i used my fire damascus to spam evenom, but the damage was far lower..

I already know that Envenom is affected by cards, I'm just comparing Envenom with Soul Breaker. (I love doing 1.1k Envenoms on Marduk ).

Actually I think Azure has a point here... since ALL CARDS AFFECT THE RIGHT HAND ONLY, it's no wonder that a +0 Quad Hurricane Main Gauche would give better bonus than a +10 Triple Hurricane Saber; the ATK of the left hand is ignored, after all.

Defender reduces ranged damage right? Pneuma nullifies ranged attack right? So it's likely that the physical portion of the skill is reduced by Defender... care to try it out?

I'm curious about this:

EDIT: If this was the case, then Soul Breaker is a HEAVILY modified version of Envenom... which

* has a bonus damage of INT * skill level * 5 + random modifier
* acts pretty much like Envenom in all other aspects (replacing Envenom's Poison property with your weapon's element).

-MA is suggested ne?
-smart is andre larva card which is so far as i can tell in the ROE databases, the monster that drops it is undocumented, i.e. it doesnt say what monster/item drops it and it supposedly gives +1int and +10sp

1. If your off-hand doesn't have any enhancers (ATK, INT, or ability bonuses [e.g. Combat Knife, House Auger]), YES. That's why you can either go dual or single + buckler (or katar, but that's not really practical)
2. Only if you're going hybrid. Pure SBrs might not have very effective MAs compared to the hybrid SBrs (who have higher STR), since MA is a physical attack that's ATK + size/race cards affected
3. Doesn't exist online yet... at least in pRO and iRO...

but when the andre larva card does come out, would it be good to get and put into a haedonggum?
and if not max out MA, what else would you get? ^^;;
i mean all you need to max out sbk is 19 job points, where would the other 50 go? say you max out the hand masteries, that's another 10, and continue to max out cloaking that's another 7, thus bringing you to jlvl 37, so other than MA what would you get? ^^;; EDP? cuz venom splasher seems to be a big nono

and for offhand weapons, what about a mjolnir
considering that aspd isnt a concern and attack strength is xDD then again i would imagine getting such a weapon would be a pain in the arse xD;;;
but would it be a good idea? cuz what im looking at, at zharay's calc is that with a haedonggum and a mjolnir it brings aspd down to an astounding 118.5 without buffs or anything

Are you sure that you can equip a mjolnir? Even if you can, the weapon won't be any attribute unless you enchant poison it. Even so, it's already uber tough to get a mjolnir

ya im just saying, for sh1ts and giggles xD
but according to zharay's calc you can equip it, and he's generally good with that one, like the calc wont let you equip things if you're too low a level, or not the right class, though im sure there are some kinks that need to be worked out, so iono if sinx can actually equip it
but if someone actually manages to get one would it be a good idea to give it to a sbk sinx?

Actually, since Venom Splasher AND Soul Breaker have similar properties:

* ATK dependent (at least in the physical aspect)
* SP consuming
* affected by ATK cards

it might be even nicer for you to take Venom Splasher than Meteor Assault... but that's just me

3 Cloak
10 Soul Breaker
5 Venom Dust
10 Poison React
10 Venom Splasher
10 Katar Mastery
10 Sonic Blow
5 Advanced Katar Research

Hmm... decent enough I guess. Since the new Venom Splasher deal 1000% ATK (max), it's like Soul Breaker's physical portion x2. Even if you're forced to run away (like an entire party rushing to kill you), you can always leave a "parting gift"

but isnt venom splasher kinda hard to tell with? cuz you need to have the one you're fighting at less than 1/3 their max hp
and what about EDP, does that effect SBK?
and why the katar masteries? wouldnt it be better not to have those skills and invest those skill points elsewhere?

Lol..dial ups..long time since i used one../heh Lots of ksers in that map though. Took a long time to actually find 1 gator with no bots around. Those cursed botters. They bot for Yggdrasil seeds for their pvp and Woe chars.
